About the leather - Tochigi Leather Pull-Up
Tochigi Leather is a vegetable-tanned leather carefully processed through pit tanning over an extended period. The leather is then treated with oil throughout its core to create a pull-up finish.
When folded or bent, the oils shift slightly, producing subtle lightened areas and a unique, lived-in character. A thin resin coating is applied to the surface, giving it a smooth, dry-to-the-touch feel.
The leather fibers are tightly structured and firm, yet the abundant oils give it a soft, supple, and slightly springy texture, making it a pleasure to touch and use over time.
